Tried something new on our most recent trip. I packed two of the single serve microwave Idahoan instant potato cups and some of the grilled Tyson foil pack chicken (picked up both items at Walmart). The potato cups did just fine by adding hot water and I heated up the chicken in a pot. I then combined the two in the potato cup and just short of stuffing had a great Sunday dinner! It was a very nice meal to have next to a campfire.

I don't know how they do it, but those Idahoan instant packets are awesome. WAY better than Hungry Jack potato flakes. Lots of different flavors, too.

I agree. We actually eat them at home too. Best instant spuds I have found!

The only thing missing is the gravy and corn
Freeze dried corn
I add some powdered instant gravy to the mix to make a " camp bowl"(ok a take off from the KFC dinner bowls I know). We share a big chunk of bannock and fall into food coma's
