I've been using Deb El powerdered eggs for the past few years and they've worked for me. I get an 8 ounce can (16 eggs) in the bakery section of Copps Supermarkets in Wisconsin.

Maybe you could do a bulk order of that powdered butter to get the 1000 can discount. You can count on me for 1 can!
Coincidentally, I just got another packet of Ova Easy eggs today from Amazon. Getting things in order for my trip already.

You would probably like the taste of clarified butter much more than any 'butter powder'. Fat doesn't become a powder for any man, so I don't know what is in that powder. Search the threads or even the internet for clarified butter or ghee. you'll be happy you did.

No, but will be interested to see the answers. I also used Adventure Eggs once last year but wasn't too impressed. We take fresh eggs and once those are gone, I guess I'd rather do without. I do use powdered eggs in things like cake mix, but it doesn't matter much which brand for that.

I always thought same SS, that fat does not dehydrate - but the Nido powdered whole milk tastes so much like whole milk - how do they do that? And I tried some of the powdered sour cream - very tasty.

I bought some Ova Easy. I had some dehydrated eggs last year and they were awful, almost inedible, so I was motivated to find something better. The Ova Easy are expensive but I figured why mess around.
They are excellent. Once mixed with water they look like scrambled eggs and when cooked they taste as good as fresh eggs. I have been goofing around with potentaial camp food and made myself a cheese omelet is a pot last week. It was great.
If you like eggs, the cost is well worth it. Can't wait to have an omelet with hash browns and onions on a cool morning in June.

Has anyone used the brand OVA EASY? We used adventure eggs last year and loved them but they are not being made any more.

i tried cache lake foods powdered eggs at copia last year....thought they were really good.

I just got a couple cans of Ova Easy. Haven't tried them yet. I do a lot of pwdered eggs and I find I have to soak them good for them to be good. I did egg whites last year and was surprized how well they turned out. Pays to spice them up and use salsa on them. I tried the adventure eggs at copia and wasn't impressed. I've tried the Cache Lake eggs and they weren't too bad.

We've taken the cartons of whole eggs several times - I forget the brand name. They are whole eggs and come in little "milk cartons". We freeze them ahead of time, and have used them four or five days into the trip. As long as they are unopened they seem to last just fine. They are in the dairy aisle in the local grocery store.

We tried Adventure eggs last year and the first meal was terrible. I don't think I mixed them well enough and also cooked them over too much heat. The second meal was great no difference from fresh eggs.

No I have not used them. I have been using eggstore eggs the last couple years. They are the best that I have ever tasted. I vacuum seal the amount we need along with some nido milk and put in some bacon bits and we are ready to go. I get the 40 eggs for $10. Think shipping costs me another $5. I just keep what ever I have left over in the freezer until the next trip.

Only use fresh eggs; farm fresh last a long time.
