We had this the other day on Basswood and I was a hero. Give it a try.

Jello mold oven recipe

cover the bottom of the JMO with about 1.5" of diced rhubarb. Pack in some brown sugar and cut some butter pats onto it. Prepare yellow cake mix as directed, but add a can (or 12 oz. of bottled) of cream soda instead of eggs and oil, and pour over the rhubarb. Cook in the JMO unitl it looks done. Wait 5 minutes and turn it out. Dab tears of joy while it cools a bit. Eat.

I love rhubarb. I just have to find some now to do this. I used to have 4 plants but that was before the divorce and she got the house and the plants.

Sounds really good.

How did you get it to cook evenly? Did you have a reflector oven? Did you cover the top of the jello-mold with a lid?

you could ask her for some... or go under the cover of darkness and pull some.... is that bad?

Only she sold the house shortly after we got divorced and the new owners ripped the bed of rhubarb out. My current house doesn't have any good place to grow any as it's a very shaded yard. Perfect for Hostas though as I have over 150 of them.

paddlefamily-
Yes, covered it with a pie tin and then turned it out into the same tin. I'm tellin' ya...
PS my wife thinks it was too sweet, so you could meddle with it a bit.
