read this, got up and had some for dinner last night with some left over ham. Yummy. We never had a name for it and when I have tried to make in the past it would not end well. Have not attempted to make it in years but this time it turned out perfect. It a good way to use up some bread that is not so fresh too.

My family calls them Soldier Sandwiches. I always knew it would be a great day when my dad made them for me growing up. Also heard them called Adam & Eve in a raft (or boat)

Are we the only ones that call them a rising sun? Never made 'em in the BWCA since we never carry whole eggs or bread but they're great at home.

That's a one eyed pharoh in our house, although our variation is once the egg is done we put a piece of american cheese on top of it.
No idea why, or how it got its name.
