My wife and I shop there whenever we go to a city that has one. They have some nice small size things like cheese, sausage, condiment, etc. Some of their Asian foods are great for taking on the trail.

They are available elsewhere on the net though. If anyone finds a store that sells it I would like to know, I live in West Des Moines and we have just about every kind of store in existence within 20 miles or so."

From the store locator that sandman2009 posted it looks like mostly co ops sell this but the Whole Foods near my house in Minnesota has it so maybe you have a Whole Foods near your in Iowa?"

We also have a whole foods about 5 mins away, but oddly it didn't show up on the locator.

It looks like HyVee is supposed to carry it right down the street. I don't remember ever seeing these there though and I shop there quite often, I'll have to look more closely.

He demonstrates some unusual, new (at least to me) ideas in the video. I'm going to give it a try. Thanks!

Some great new meal ideas in this video. I would eat all of the items shown as would my kids, so thanks for the link.

I love Cost Plus World Market. I saw those smaller sausages there over Christmas when I was looking for stocking stuffer items and I made a mental note to come back for some for camping in the spring. They have a whole aisle of bins with smaller "travel sized" food items.

According to their website you can get it at Hyvee in both West Des Moines stores. Check over in the health food section. If they don't have it ask the store manager to order it as it should be no problem as other Hy Vees have it.

In this video the presenter discusses some interesting ideas for camping food from World Market like taco filling. It is about four minutes in. It is a dry product that you just add water. I have never been in a World Market but I think I will stop by and look around.

Has anyone shopped at World Market for camping food ideas?

We stop there before every trip. My son was commenting on how he never gets prosciutto sandwiches at home. They have prosciutto and salami. Both very good and have a good shelf life. They also have some very good cheeses that pack well.
