quote drrick: "Bill, I had the OvaEasy French toast powdered mix this morning. It is very good. Thanks for the help again. Rick"
Good. I make a dutch oven french toast dish and thinking these would be an easy way to do that, if a little pricey. Usually on winter campouts so eggs not freezing is appealing - and tired of using a cooler in reverse with hand warmers or hot water bottles.

I often take cornbread mix and bake in a fry pan/camp oven. Dunk slices in egg batter made with dried/powdered eggs, fry again, smother in maple syrup.
Cornbread French Toast.

I use Ova Easy and Nido milk on my trips. Never thought of this before but I might have to try them together for some french toast. Maybe for breakfast tomorrow.

Hey, great idea man. I will try this at home. Going backpacking in Pisgah National Forest in 2 weeks. That would be a wholesome breakfast. Thanks for the reply. Rick

Can anyone help me find a source for a good French toast complete pre-mix? On a previous trip to the BWCA the outfitter threw in a couple of small bags of French toast mix. They were pretty good. I have not been able to find out where they came from. Thanks, Rick

check out French toast flavored bagels... Then all you need is syrup and butter. way less messy.
Chain stores like "Piggly Wiggly " usually carry them. never had any mold problems with them.

Bacon Pancakes. Fry up some bacon and put in a pancake. Tasty.....because it's bacon.
