I'm dehydrating Pace picante sauce and some red chili sauce as we speak.

505 Chile sells the salsa in glass bottles if you want to buy that brand and fill your own DIY packets. "

Buy the brand you were using from a different place then.

Are these chunky like salsa, or smooth like hot sauce?"

It's not smooth but it doesn't have large chunks either, more like small bits. Stop, get a pack and try it.

I used to buy 1.5 ounce (I think) salsa packets at Packit Gourmet. They no longer have them. Anyone know of anywhere else with a packet like that? I found a 3.8 oz container...that's too big. I'd much rather have salsa vs. hot sauce.

I just use the ones from Taco bell or if I want more I get the little tubs of Salsa from Tostitos Tostitos salsa cup 3.8 oz

You could also make you own tubes of salsa using a Vac sealer and some custom sized bags or use a cleaned out freeze pop tube cut to the size you need. Then just fill and heat seal it with the vac sealer.

We always take salsa on canoe or backpacking trips or even day hikes. We use it on wraps, breakfast burritos, tacos, or just on scrambled eggs. We usually use the Taco Bell packets.

If you go to the link I provided you plus the other link I have above they both have the same salsa as PackIt Gourmet but in a 6 pack. "

I know but I only want one. "

Go with Taco Bell packets of salsa. Better tasting in my opinion than Mcdonalds

I haven't been able to find it as single packets anywhere else. Which is why I asked here. :)"

I'm not refrigerating anything, so it's not safe to do this.
