I just made this so I know it works
I took a 2 pound chuck tender roast and sliced it about 1/2 inch think slices. Then I cut 1/2 inch strips from that. In a glass bowl (don't use metal) I put 1/2 cup soy sauce, 2 tablespoons of brown sugar, a tablespoon of Worcestershire sauce, a tea spoon of onion powder and a teaspoon of crushed black pepper. I mixed it all together and kept it in the fridge for about 6 hours. I then placed them on wire racks so Air can get all around each piece and had a normal house fan blow on it for about 24 hours. That's it. They are great. Kids love them too.
Let me know if you have questions

You could also put them in the oven, very low heat. We did that before we bought a dehydrator. Might be a little quicker than air drying.
