Great trip report! Two of us did the same trip last year in June. We were able to make Kawnipi about an hour before dark, but we had a south wind that day. The year before we had strong headwinds and only made Bald Rock Falls the first day. BTW, I've nicknamed those two portages after Bald Rock A$$hole1 and A$$hole2 on my maps. They are buggers, especially when they are wet.
