It has been many years since we have been to Adams and Boulder, and it is one of my strongest regrets that we didn't make it there, as we had planned, on our 2006 trip. To me, this is some of the most beautiful and interesting scenery in all of the BWCA. It was with joy, tinged with some sadness, that I read your report and shared this trip with you. Thank you. May God bless you as you explore new waters in your life, and heal old wounds. |

Thanks for the heads-up on the nasty widow maker branch north of Boulder too. I really like the way you added comments on your mindset during the trip. I need to add more of my thoughts during trips... my trip reports read more like technical documents. The only thing missing from your trip report is a picture of you :-) |

ghamer: "Very nice trip report! We sure enjoyed stopping to chat with you on Boulder! I can relate regarding the weather, since we were up there at virtually the same time as you. I guess the bad weather made us really appreciate the good weather later in the trip:-) Thanks Gary! Meeting you guys when I did on that trip was truly a God send. Absolutely one of the highlights of the trip for me. Also, thank you for the picture; I really do appreciate it. I had always intended to take at least one but, for some reason, it just never happened? |

Spartan2: "TB, a beautiful, bittersweet trip report. Yours are always my very favorites, and this one didn't disappoint. It isn't just your itinerary, your adventures, and your beautiful photos--it is also your mindset and your attitude. This report is an inspiration on all fronts. Spartan2, Thank you so much for the kind words. I have always appreciated your insights (not just on my trip reports) and the valuable contributions you have continually made to this site. I consider your wealth of knowledge, beautiful photos and compassionate commentary as one of the most treasured aspects of bwca.com, and hope you continue to contribute well into the future. P.S. One day, I would like to get to Cherokee lake and see the 'Spartan site' firsthand. God bless, TB |

TB - I always cherish reading your reports, they teach so much about the BWCA and living. I am starting to find the wilderness (both the BWCA & Yellowtone/Beartooth MTs) as physically healing for me, but also mentally. I so look forward to my trip with my cousin this summer. As I was reading your adventure, I kept wondering why you were doing a solo, but you brought it all together in the end and I cannot say it as eloquently as Spartan2, so I will just repeat her last line, "May God bless you as you explore new waters in your life, and heal old wounds." Thanks for sharing your travels. |
