Just a quick thanks to Adam. Something was messed up in this report that my feeble mind would not have figured out. Adam did, and helped me get it published. Thank you very much!

Great report, doc. I'm so glad you did your part to thin out the SMB population. I imagine you took a long hard look at LCD's canoe to see how many scratches she's put in it. Looks like a sweet ride. It's also nice to see you finally got the Two Harbors chicken off your list.

Excellent trip report and photos. You guys covered a lot of ground on this trip! We're heading out in three weeks - your pictures brought a smile to my face....especially the entry point picture. We've taken off from that point many times - can't wait to do it again!

It looks like the crew had a good weather and good times! The Chicken photo is a classic and will end up all over the web.

You need to start a series of those (chicken) photos.

The island site on Cherokee was my first ever BWCA campsite, one of the reasons I fell in love with the area.

PS; I hear that the Mercer, WI loon is feeling poorly. Your services may be required.

Hey, in part 2, picture 3...what kind of tent is that? I think we have the same one. Not the one we take to the BW, though; we have a smaller 2-person for that. The name of the tent is escaping me at the moment, even though I just used it last weekend. Now I see a later picture of it...looks different in coloring from the side, but the front is the same type...about the size of a queen size bed inside? Oh, I think the name of ours is Quest.

Love the animal pics. Do you go by Black River Falls on your way up? You need to get one of those with the orange moose. ;-)

Great report, thanks for sharing it!

The orange moose is on my list....and I guess I have to visit Mercer too.
I'm not sure what the tent is...I forget. It's just on ok tent, held up in a storm and handled four guys. Not super light, but not many 4p's are. I also believe it was cheap. I'll check the name sometime.
