I like it so far. Just wondering if you use a back rest when paddling? I have lower back pain when paddling without one but being able to lean back on one sure helps me.

Looking forward to the conclusion.

Patrick,

Yeah I'm using the "teaser"-style one day at a time approach for the first time. Maybe that way I'll be motivated to get it done sooner! (You should see my day-by-day notes. LOL.) Later . . .

Gary,

Really enjoyed your two reports - Spring and Fall- on the Q. Thanks for the report. Your photos are excellent.

I'll drop you a line later on. In a hurry right now. We'll compare notes on trips.

Bummer about the tent. I had something similar happen to me while camping in a Montana meadow (in 1984). Apparently I was in a low spot and had to get out in the night during a downpour and drag the tent to higher ground. Live and learn.

Now, with your case, I would just switch to hammock camping when solo. No puddles there!

Enjoyed your story, hope you get to go again.

TomT: "Live and learn" is right -- no matter how old we get. I have a hammock I bought on a whim sometime ago, but have not tried it. Guess this will be a stimulus. I'll be back! --Goose
