Forgot I posted this. After 2 years of use, I am very happy with my purchase.

Axe is lightweight right around 1.5#, I’d call it sort of a mix between a hatchet and axe but more axe. Has made limbing, splitting, and making fires easier.

I am sure I could get buy with something cheaper, but it wouldn’t be as much fun. Finally the thing is a work of art, I can just take it out and look at in the winter and it makes me smile.

I have a GB Swedish Forest Axe. It's a bit large with a 24" handle but is a sweet tool. The longer handle gives you a bit of leverage and it splits like a dream. It comes shaving sharp . Keep it oiled and touch it up as needed and it will last a lifetime. I have a CCS pack and and a Kondos portage pack and it easily fits inside.

Anyone have one of these? I saw someone bought one but did not see any reviews of it.

I had a ton of Duluth pack store gift certificates I was accumalting to buy a nice shotgun case--then they went and doubled the price on me so I got a BOYT one at Sierra for only $30.

I just bought the Outdoor Axe with my gift certificates and should be here in a week or so. It is probalby overkill for my needs but there was nothign else I wanted and it was another $150 for the gun case....crazy...

I thought I didn't need an axe, can get by with just a saw, but did a trip wiht my friend Maverick and he had a hatchet and I have to say it was very handy for splitting wood, limbing trees---opened my eyes.

I don't have one but it's been on my list for a while now. I've only heard good things about GB. They are pricey but it seems like a quality tool that will last a lifetime, and then go to an appreciative family member.
