Don't know if any of you have had Life Action come to your church for a revival or not. They are currently at our church for 10 days. I have heard 6 messages from their staff and all I can say is that it is amazing! It is not your old fashion Hell Fire and Damnation Come to Jesus Revival as I was used to in growing up! It is more of an intense look inside yourself to see if you are really trying to live like Jesus in all you do. Relationships, Work, Finances, Time, and how we deal with Stress... all of it is covered.
I look forward to every night, as it seems I learn something new about myself and my faith every night. Last night ended with a commitment from the men in our church to pray with our wives everyday! Two nights ago we ended the service with all the men leaving the auditorium to find another man to share one thing that we working on to be more Christ like, and to have him pray for us about it. And we in turn prayed for them about their situation. Emphasis on learning to pray for each other no matter who it is or what they request.
Some of it gets you out of your comfort zone... but that is being a believer is all about. As he said last night, sometimes your faith comes with discomfort!
