Overview:
Rockwood Outfitters provides complete, partial and day trip outfitting services for the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness.
Rockwood is located on Poplar Lake with direct entry points to some of the best moose territory in the entire BWCA. There are great routes available for beginners and for those looking for a challenge.
We offer, free to the public, the use of two 80 amp EV chargers using J1772 plug with a tesla adapter. Free to charge at Rockwood while you recharge in the Boundary Waters.
At Rockwood, we realize that every party has different wants and needs on a canoe trip. Whether you are a beginner or have taken many canoe trips, our goal is to make your trip the best vacation ever. We'll work with you to plan a route that meets your needs.
Our central location makes it easy for us to provide access into some of the most remote areas of BWCA and trips from all entry points of the Gunflint Trail as well as Quetico routes. We specialize in ultra-lightweight equipment and canoes to save you weight and bulk in portaging. We offer aluminum, Royalex, IXP/Innegra, and Kevlar canoes. The superior quality of our gear provides comfort while meeting the demands of canoe camping.
Many people appreciate the convenience of ending their trip at Rockwood Lodge where your car and our shower house are ready and waiting. Of course, we also offer transport to and from most the entry points off the mid-Gunflint Trail.
When you start planning your next canoeing vacation in the BWCA, call or e-mail Rockwood Outfitters. We're here to help you plan the perfect trip.
