Report
We had some canoe issues so we didn't get start as early in the day as we would've liked. Paddled straight into a stiff wind the whole way through the river and Upper Pauness, and got into Lower Pauness and was still fighting it and decided to camp at the middle camp site on Lower Pauness. Turned out to be a wonderful site. And it stayed windy the rest of the trip so we just stayed there. The site was great and we were able catch walleye from shore the whole trip so that was nice. Day tripped to see Devil's Cascade which was very cool. All in all even though we did not make it as far as we had hoped, it turned into a good trip. Also ended up paddling straight into the wind on the way out which made things very difficult again, but it could've been worse.
