Trip Introduction:
We had a fantastic trip. This is our 3rd annual trip to Alice. All 3 were partially outfitted through Voyager’s North. As usual a great experience with John and his crew.
Paddling - Both on our way in and even worse on our way out we had wind to contend with. This always makes the trip more challenging.
Weather - We had very little rain and the temps were in the 70’s and 80’s.
Lots of sun! Lows around 50.
Fishing was awesome! Bring minnows and leeches if you want to catch lots of Walleye! We caught fish near the rapids as well as fishing structure on the west side around some islands. 28 inch was the biggest next to the islands. 26 inch was the largest near the rapids.
Very little northern. Several smallies in the 4 lb range.
Memories and companionship was indescribable. 2 of us brought up our young adult sons and they had the time of their lives.
