This trip to Alice had everything going for it. Great weather - minus some heavy winds which can be brutal on Alice. Cooperative fish everyday (pike, eyes and bass). Incredible northen lights show even through the relentless Canadian smoke. There was also a fire about 5-10 miles north of us within the BWCA, fire planes were moving through regularly, southern winds kept the threat at bay. Fire ban for the entire trip. Spent 14 hours on the water daily enjoying every minute. Most campsites on Alice seemed full but shockingly hardly anyone fishing. Not a lot of wildlife sightings but overall a 5 star trip.
