The distance from ranger station to entry point is 15 miles. Access the North Kawishiwi River through Ojibway Lake and Triangle Lake using two portages.

Trip Introduction:
Paul, Mitch, Bill and I did a 7-day canoe trip from Sept. 4-11. This a little earlier than most of our Fall trips because we had some scheduling conflicts this year. We entered at South Kawishiwi River and explored our way up to North Kawishiwi. Many days we had at least some light rain... on Sept. 8th we had a lot of rain! We had a nice leisurely pace... staying at most sites 2 nights. Overall another great trip with several meals of fish, beautiful scenery and good comaraderie!
