We have 2 nites left so we need to start heading more towards our take out point. We troll our way out of Burt catching many smallish smallies, then in about 45-50’ of water my pole bends way over. I’ve got something heavy on. The fish keeps trying to stay deep and makes several runs. I am pretty sure I have a nice Laker on until I finally get it to the boat and see a nice walleye on the end of my line. After a couple of more runs Sara nets a chunky 26” walleye for me.

What was this guy doing hanging out in Laker territory? Catch some more nice walleyes near the mouth of Burt and head on to Paulene. The end of the portage provides some good Largemouth Bass fishing. We take the last portage into McIntrye. The only group camped on McIntrye is a group at the message campsite we had planned to camp on---Dang—it. Oh well we move on to a nice camp at the southern end of McIntrye.

We see no signs of anyone else today. Early evening we hit a reef for some smally action. I catch a 19 incher, but spend the rest of the evening catching tiny ones so we head back for dinner.
