My 17 year old son and I have 6 or 7 trips together around central part of Quetico all in an out of PP so this was a departure - and our first trip with a JMO.

Day 1 of 10
Monday, June 28, 2010 We arrived in Ely evening of June 27 - after seeing a minor league game in Duluth - and stayed at Canoe Country Outfitter’s motel. Shuttled to Moose Lake base, and paddled to Sucker for the night. BWCA permit was less expensive than a tow. Tried out JMO for first time - calzone - very successful. Fresh sausage and eggs for breakfast, check in for Quetico permit at PP and off to Basswood Falls. Moose Lake, Newfound Lake, Sucker Lake
