Wednesday, June 30, 2010 Headed down Horse Portage. My son willingly doubles while I single portage. Two more portages - Horseshoe and Lower Basswood, and camp along Basswood, over hill from Greer Lake and across river from pictographs. Mac and Cheese with pre-cooked bacon and some dehydrated peas; and tuna wraps for dinners; last of fresh sausage and bacon with eggs. We had fresh frozen juice these first 4 or 5 days, using the half gallon of juice as the ice for the cold stuff. It was low portage beginning - except Horse - so not a big deal. Crooked Lake
