Set alarm for 5 and had camp packed by 7. Made it to Rockford by 1 for a lunch date with the grandparents. Notes: Got to familiarize myself with northeastern Wisconsin and the western side of the yooper. Beautiful country with lots of canoeing opportunities. I have only opened the lid to these adventures, with much more possibilities. Being a huge fan of Northern Minnesota, I couldn’t help but make countless analogies between the two areas. Nothing will take the place of the Bdub, but these places aren’t that far behind and make for a good supplement if going all the way up north isn’t part of the budget or time frame.
