Tuesday, October 18, 2011: Avon, NC (0 miles)

Another day of ocean play. Sunny and warm, but not TOO warm. Honestly, I could relax like this for a month! Caught the sunrise and snoozed a bit more, then up to the upper deck to watch the dolphins swimming past the house. What more could you ask for? 

With rumors of a storm moving in, we played in the water most of the day (more surfing) and then it was our turn to cook dinner for the family. Chicken fajitas with bell pepper/onion/bean filling. Mmmmmm, good.
Family entertainment this evening was watching my sister and brother do exercises that supposedly will help you live pain free if you do them often enough. Looked to me like they were INDUCING pain, twisting into unnatural positions and holding them for 60 seconds. In the spirit of things, I tried on of them and didn't notice a change in anything at all afterwards ;) Littlest kiddo tried some too, although I don't think she lives with physical pain on a regular basis like sister (multiple ankle fracture some years ago) and brother (various feet and back issues).
By bedtime, the storm was rolling in, and it was hard to sleep with the screen door open as the rain was blowing it inside. We wondered what the morning would bring in terms of ocean activity or storm damages.
