Early to rise, broke camp and got back to Tuscarora at 7:17. Missing Link and Round Lake both had major mist rising from the surface due to cooler temps.Much needed showers were taken by all and dirty laundry was stored in garbage bags for the trip home. Settled up with Andy and headed out at 8:30.
Totals for our trip: 20 Lakes (21 if you consider Round twice) 20 portages ranging from a walk in the park to a total bi*@h. 20 Lake trout or more. 0 Brook trout but 1 close call. 1 Black bear. 1 Moose. Couple of Bald Eagles. 3-4 Beavers. Many Loons but no LOONLINGS They will be a target for us on our next trip. 2 Mermaid dumpings. 1 root tripping. 1 almost drowning in "moose muck".2 camera ruinings. MANY MANY MEMORIES.
This area is like a piece of heaven compared to what I see everyday and I live in the sticks! Plans already are in action for a trip in Spring of 2014 as we speak.
