Friday, September 07, 2012 Temperatures seem to be on a downhill run since the beginning of my trip. This morning the mercury bottomed out at 53 degrees – kind of chilly. The early morning sun now seems to be disappearing. I had planned to fish today but with squally weather moving in and winds picking up when the showers swept by, I decided to read in camp today. It is a vacation I am on, I remind myself. It is a good book I picked for my Kindle and I also had a hard time putting it down. By sundown the skies cleared – what timing! Well, it seemed to be looking up for tomorrow’s long paddle and hard portages. I discovered some bored former occupant left a carved phallus near the fireplace area to which I decorated with some inked-in phrases.
