Wednesday, June 19, 2013 I spent the morning fishing around the SE arm of Kashahpiwi Lake. Not much success, except for a couple pike. Fish just aren't interested in my lures today, and I tried them all. Saw an eagle and circled the island where he was perched. He didn't seem to mind, but the wind and current made getting the perfect photo difficult, and I'm sure I didn't succeed. I desperately need a bath, but the opportunities are fleeting, and my camp does not have a good facility. Besides, the bugs are as bad as I've seen. It's looked like rain all day, and it finally hit in mid-afternoon. Storm abated quickly, and if it stays dry tonight, I will head to McNiece tomorrow. Dinner was rice & beans with tomatoes, sweet potatos and peppers, topped off with some diced salami. Ticks are swarming my tent as I write this.
