Tuesday, June 18, 2013 The last full day is always bittersweet. We woke up to nice weather, had about 5 breakfast bars, and our usual coffee mug and headed out. Mark Zups had marked up fishing spots on our map so we headed back up the channel. Fishing was very slow. I lost one nice bass otherwise it was mostly small scattered bass and pike. After lunch at our camp, we went the other direction, more of the same. Towards dinner, we walked down the portage to McAree and took some pictures of Rebecca falls. Andrew caught a few walleye as the sun started going down. We saw 2 guys fishing at the base of the falls-didnt look like they were having much luck. The fishing was slow, but it was a beautiful spot, well worth the walk. I think McAree would make a good base camping lake. We had our last cooked dinner, and made one last fishing sortie where Andrew landed the last nice bass of the trip. We called it a night. I started planning next years adventure as I drifted to sleep.
