Lessons We Learned - 1. Don’t paddle a canoe perpendicular into a strong current.  2. When improvising a campsite, count the number of mosquitoes at night and quadruple for the morning.  3. Plan breakfast better to avoid the possibility of having bacon bits and coffee as a meal.  4. When it is a traveling day, eat a good fast breakfast rather than pancakes.  5. Even when it is a traveling day, take time to fix bacon and eggs.  6. Tarps should have equal lengths of cord on all four corners.  7. Seam seal, inside and outside, the center patch on CCS tarps.  8. Every trip you take with CCS equipment will reinforce the quality of Dan’s gear.  9. As always, you meet good people in the wilderness.  10. Trangia is an awesome piece of equipment.  11. Get a Buff.  12. Make sure you take some cold weather clothing, plan on temps getting into the 30s.  13. We need help learning to catch walleye.  14. Beware dead trees.
