Day 12 Saturday, August 17 We got up early our last morning, had a quick breakfast and crossed the sandy portage into Bayley Bay. We were greeted there by a stiff wind, making us glad that we had a tow waiting for us at Prairie Portage. We paddled steadily, reticent to reenter the "real world" but not doddling too badly given the wind. After our short tow and quick shower we shelved our sorrows over a salad and walleye burger in Ely before cruising our way back to Wyoming with the requisite stops at first the Spam Museum and later Wall Drug, where the near adult children were very indulgent of their parents.
