Friday, June 19, 2015 We broke camp in the morning to try to get a campsite closer to Mudro for our exit on Saturday. All sites were taken on Boot, and we only found one very abused site on Fourtown that would have to do for the night. It was the one on the east side of the lake that a short portage to Horse goes directly through. It was very strange, but somewhat entertaining, watching people portage 20 feet from our fire trying hard to ignore us. We had an older gentleman wander over to the fire to accept a cup of coffee, followed by his two sons. We spent a couple of hours chatting by the fire, and it turned out that we had mutual friends. I think they were just trying to get away from their 9 girls spread among 2 sites for a while! In any case, it was a pleasant reintroduction to civilization. We spent the evening fishing the pond between Fourtown and Horse, and finished off the evening with a dinner of Mojakka and bannock. Possibly the last of the wine, too.
