Honoring Memories and Traditions
by Spartan2
And it was time to head for home. Breakfast (another big cinnamon roll), checkout, and a long day on the road. A night at Eau Claire and time in another swimming pool. A leisurely swim in the pool the next morning and a long afternoon on the road again, with a stop for the (traditional) gift of Wisconsin cheese for Mom and Dad at home.
And then a joyous reunion with Zaccheus, who had been missing Anna desperately for almost two weeks!
We are richly blessed. We are blessed to have two wonderful children with equally wonderful spouses. Each family has been blessed with one "only" child, our son with a son, and our daughter with a daughter. And each of them trusts us to take their child on a vacation in the summer for an extended period of time, to some place far away, and to spend real quality time with them. Time for adventures, time for activity, time for exploring and learning, and time for making memories.
Our 2017 vacation with grandson Robert this year was spent in Wisconsin and it was very special, too. But this year with Anna we were blessed to have 12 1/2 days to honor ten years of "Traditions and Memories". This young woman loves the canoe country just as much as we do, and we found this time to be incredibly precious and valuable.
