Day 5 of 9
Tuesday, June 13, 2006. Partly cloudy with temps in the low 70s.
The next morning, after a quick oatmeal and coffee breakfast, we headed out to catch some shore lunch. Our hot hole from the night before wasn’t holding walleye in any numbers. We moved on. We found another productive rock pile in front of an island in the large eastern bay. Mike landed eight walleyes before I got even one. I added another split shot to my presentation and I was in the zone. For the next 30-40 minutes, we pulled up fish after fish. We put 4 on the stringer for shore lunch. Barley and Moose Plums had found a windy point within view of our campsite and were hammering the walleye also. Back at camp, we ate our fill. A very memorable day of walleye fishing!
