Day 19 of 28
Tuesday, July 10, 2018 - Last night on the Innoko
We fish the bay hard and catch some nice pike at the mouth, but the interior slough does not have much going on. I get one nice 14 lbs pike in the slough, but all others came from the river side.
Steve almost catches the only non-pike of the entire trip. On a William’s Wabler spoon, he hooked roughly a 5 lbs sheefish (Inconnu) and had it right up to the canoe. Unfortunately it popped off just as we were getting ready to land the fish.
We end up with 11 pike over 10 lbs on our final day of fishing. After dinner, we celebrate with cigars.
