Friday, June 29, 2018 Anchorage – Prep day
We spend the day getting ready. We stop by the Surveyor’s Exchange and pick up a rental satellite phone, then spread out all of our gear at a local park to rationalize what we can cut out to make sure we don’t exceed our 1200 lb weight limit. While prepping the gear, we are treated to a nice display of aircrafts flying overhead from local Elmendorf Air Force Base. We stock up on souvenirs from the local Walmart and make another visit the Anchorage YMCA, hit the local Denny’s, then crash at a small park just South of Anchorage overlooking Cook Inlet.
