Day 8 of 8
This trip was the most challenging of any of my wilderness canoe trips. I’m glad I went on it but I don’t want to try to top it. Except for the first day wind, the weather was prefect. My only regret was my maps and GPS. I cropped the maps too close to our planned route. Plus trying to fit everything on a couple 8 x 11 sheets the scale was different from one map to the other. I normally try to have a back up to just about everything. My GPS was worthless since I didn’t have a map of the area loaded. I also wish I fished or someone in our group. I heard how great the fishing is there since there is so few visitors to that massive park. If you're looking for a trip that's a bit more challenging then BWCA or Quetico, consider WCPP. It should be on your bucket list. Now for our two day drive back to Indy :)
