Saturday, June 22, 2019 I finally managed to get everyone up and out of bed a little earlier to ensure we'd make our scheduled 10:30 tow down Moose from Prairie Portage. We left camp on the southern end of Burke at 7:50 and arrived at Prairie Portage at 9:45. The wind from the previous day was still blowing 10-15mph out of the south which made us work to get across Bayley Bay.

Following the tow back to LaTourell's and stowing our gear, we stopped at DQ in Ely for lunch and made it back to my in-laws in Duluth by about 3:00.

It's a trip I'll remember for the ideal weather, the lack of bugs, the good fishing (we never worked more than 30 minutes for dinner until the last day), and the last big trip with my father-in-law. Given how well he did, I think we'll paddle again, but this was probably the last time we'll make a big trip to the interior of the park. It was an epic end to a great paddling chapter in our lives.
