We were up and had camp packed by 4:30. We both crushed a Clif bar and were on the water by 4:40. Because it was cloudy there wasn't much moon light so we were navigating by headlamp. Paddling early in the morning is one of my favorite things to do! The water was calm and made for quick travel. We made it into Snowbank just before 6am and had a leisurely paddle back to the canoe landing as we wanted to soak in as much of the BWCA as we could.

We got to the landing and loaded up all the gear and headed back into Ely. We dropped the canoe off at VNO and enjoyed a cold Hamm's shower beer at 7:30am. We stopped at Piragis so I could pick up the wife a couple gifts so she will continue to let me go on canoe trips. We then went to the Grand Ely lodge for a solid breakfast. By 9am we were on our way home. We spent the entire ride home reliving the highlights from the past couple of days as well as starting to plan our 2023 BWCA trip!~Disappointment Lake, Snowbank Lake
