Your photos are effervescent. I like the one of you guys fishing Bigass Walleye Point. It's not the prettiest photo, but it's the best! The second best was the photo of you guys at the falls.

I will paddle eternal, Kevlar and carbon.

Nice trip report,

Curious what do ER nurses cary in the first aid kit?

May the rivers be crooked and winding, and your portages lonesome, leading to the most amazing view.

Any luck catching pike on Iron your first night? Maybe at least 3 keepers?

We were on Iron the same days as you, although we arrived there from LLC by about 10:00 AM. All the campsites you looked at were already full by then, and we took the only site we found open (bay on the east side). If that wasn't open, we were headed to where you ended up as a last resort. Glad you got the island eventually, it is truly an amazing site.

Good to hear you found the fish so cooperative too, it was a great week for walleye up there for sure!

Great report!!! Iron is IRON for all the Northwoods has to offer!

The two loudest sounds known to man: a gun that goes bang when it is supposed to go click and a gun that goes click when it is supposed to go bang.

ER RNs should never have to search for a campsite. Your work is so hard and so vital that you should have a lake set aside for you in BWWCA.

I will paddle eternal, Kevlar and carbon.

Really, really enjoyed that report, sounds like a great trip with the guys. You take fantastic pictures, what camera do you use?

Echoing everything that's already been said. Loved every minute reading this report, and loved the pictures. Thanks for bringing us along, including on the ***ing four miles on foot.
I, too, prefer the early rise, long first-day: get there and get in ASAP. When the trip is over, my preference is a slow-transition back home. Someone on the board once said the toughest portage is the one from the back of the truck to the garage with their gear.
Thanks again for a great report!

Looked like a fun trip! Thanks for sharing. Iron lake has been on my to do list for awhile now. Gotta make it there sometime in the next couple of years.
