Entry Point 20 - Angleworm Lake

Angleworm Lake entry point allows overnight paddle only. This entry point is supported by Kawishiwi Ranger Station near the city of Ely, MN. The distance from ranger station to entry point is 18 miles. Access is a 640-rod portage to Angleworm Lake.

Awesome that the kids decided to go at it by themselves. Not so awesome that it took forever to find a site. That sounds like a nightmare to me. Thankfully you found one the next day though.

Wonderful seeing kids enjoy themselves so much despite the trying conditions. I love seeing families enjoying this beautiful area. Great pictures! One of the things I love about taking my kiddo on a yearly trip is I know of no better way to witness the incredible physical and mental growth he experiences in a year. I am in awe at how much he has matured the last 4 years of our trips. Kudos to you for being willing to jump into it with so many!

YES! Seeing them accomplish things, fail at others and the drive and determination to finish the trip with a good attitude is an amazing thing to witness! They always tell their friends about the trips and how they should encourage their parents to take them on one!
