Entry Point 37 - Kawishiwi Lake

Kawishiwi Lake entry point allows overnight paddle only. This entry point is supported by Tofte Ranger Station near the city of Isabella; Tofte, MN. The distance from ranger station to entry point is 33 miles. Access is a boat landing at Kawishiwi Lake.

Another really nice remake, Gary! :) I've been in that entry 3X going in different directions and really like it. Brings back lots of memories.

Thanks Boonie! I really like that entry point too... lots of options for both short and longer trips. The Pagami Creek Fire sure changed the landscape on Kawasachong and the west end of Polly after we made the trip in 2008!

Thanks Gary. I always enjoy these videos as does the wife. I did this route in '16 with a younger first timer who has since been back a couple of times. We went up through Boulder and over to Makwa and back down to Malberg from there. Your video brought back many fine memories.

Thanks Randy - I like the Kawishiwi Lake to Malberg route... lots of good daytrip options once you get to Malberg. We thought the portages between Boulder and Vee were fairly tough... neat country though.

Thanks for sharing Gary. That route was the one my Dad took me on for my first canoe trip 52 years ago and your great photos brought back a flood of memories. I've been back many times since that first trip and it never gets old.
