Very interesting and fun trip report. Those boys will never forget it!

I enjoyed your report and also the pictures. We have done almost all of that route (but only took the tow to Loon Lake) and so I felt like I was in familiar territory.

Great report and thanks for sharing! Jealous of your sunsets and stargazing as we were shut out by clouds every night on our trip in August. Sounds like a great trip and you made some memories for the kiddos! A little weirdness there on Finger lake will make for some good stories to share around future campfires.

I'm planning on hitting at least some of this area for the first time next spring on a planned solo trip, and any bit of information helps!

Minor point - Following along on the map, I think on Day 1 when you say Campsite 105, I think you meant Campsite 150?

thanks again!

Nice! How was the portage from Fat to Slim? I usually hear of reports of people going the opposite direction

Good to see you did manage a couple lakers out of there

Good catch thank you, I made the correction. Capsite 150 is where we stayed. We did have night crawlers we picked up Orr. Most of them were used at finger lake on the bluegills. Most of the walleye action was on Berkley shad raps. Caught quite a few northerns on the five of diamonds daredevil. We like using jigging raps a lot for walleye and trout but they weren't as effective this year compared to the past.

Thumbs Up! I love that area of the bwca and you guys show it off well. A shuttle is a great way to get the youngsters into the area.
