Entry Point 23 - Mudro Lake

Mudro Lake entry point allows overnight paddle only. This entry point is supported by Kawishiwi Ranger Station near the city of Ely, MN. The distance from ranger station to entry point is 19 miles. Three accesses into Mudro Lake involve portages ranging from 20–185 rods.Easiest access is from private la nd with parking fee.

Thanks for the report! Any good pictures to share? That was similar to the same loop for my first trip, though in the reverse direction and avoiding the Horse river. Glad you found some fish, Friday Bay is a nice area

Yeah, brings back cool memories! First portages, first time in Canada, first fish up there, etc. We did our first trip from Fall up to Basswood, then Crooked, and out Nina Moose...you never forget your first! Thanks!

Same exact trip we did in late June and first of July. Oh the memories of those portages. Sounds like you did ok fishing, better than I did anyways.
