Entry Point 31 - Farm Lake

Farm Lake entry point allows overnight paddle or motor (25 HP max). This entry point is supported by Kawishiwi Ranger Station near the city of Ely, MN. The distance from ranger station to entry point is 7 miles. Access is a boat landing on Farm Lake with access to South Farm Lake. Paddlers access North Kawishiwi River from Farm Lake. Some trip options available for paddlers with additional portages.

Very nice, Gary. I enjoyed watching it. I was up there the end of Sept. (Kawishiwi Lake) and the colors were beautiful this year.

My wife had some friends over and I had them watch part of the video and they also were impressed.
My pictures never turn out this good. As I watched, I thought this would be a good screen saver. This happened over and over and over and over.

Thanks everyone for taking a look!
It was interesting how busy the NF campgrounds were the night before the trip. When we got there, Fall Lake, South Kawishiwi and Birch Lake campgrounds were all full! Even some private campgrounds closer to Ely were full. On our 2nd check of South Kawishiwi, we found out that someone had just checked out. So we set up camp just before dark! I guess lots of others wanted to check out the fall color too :-)
