Entry Point 38 - Sawbill Lake

Sawbill Lake entry point allows overnight paddle only. This entry point is supported by Tofte Ranger Station near the city of Tofte, MN. The distance from ranger station to entry point is 25 miles. Access is a boat landing at Sawbill Lake. This area was affected by blowdown in 1999.

I enjoyed your report, but I did get a chuckle out of the "30-man canoe." While it may feel like that with a pack on your back, you might want to go in and edit that, I'm thinking. :-)


A nice report. We have been out of Sawbill several times but always went in the other direction. I wish you had posted some photos.


Sorry your friend got sick. That's always a bummer.
