Entry Point 38 - Sawbill Lake

Sawbill Lake entry point allows overnight paddle only. This entry point is supported by Tofte Ranger Station near the city of Tofte, MN. The distance from ranger station to entry point is 25 miles. Access is a boat landing at Sawbill Lake. This area was affected by blowdown in 1999.

Sounds like a great trip and a lot of work! Definitely would not want to do this in July. Makes me wonder the last time anyone had been on that lake.

Nice. That lake is on the to do list someday but, then again, which lakes aren't? Haha. Thanks for the fun trip report. Glad to see what's possible.

This was one of the best trip reports ever. Definitely not the regular granola heads that dominate this site. Good job, thanks for sharing. Oh, yeah, and 4 big men fishing in an aluminum canoe, my mind has been blown.
