Even the trip report was "easy does it". Nice relaxed style. Easy to read, and easy to get caught "going with the flow".

It was a good to read on a Friday night when the most exciting thing that happened so far was a few beers and talking canoes with my tripping buddies.

Thanks for the post.

Hey, thanks! I didn't know this area was here and I just stumbled across these messages.

My first trip up was in 1978. I came 5 years in a row, then went to school, got a job, a wife, three kids, started a couple of businesses, and yadda, yadda, yadda, I didn't get back until 2008. I just completed another trip this year with my youngest. I hope to be back several more times before I shuffle off this mortal coile!

Hey, Corndog! Thanks, Everything went right on that trip! I've camped in a lot of places over the years, but never had such perfect weather. I am not much of a fisherman. Only once before have I been on a trip where we ate so much fish (and the guy who caught those became a pro bass fisher). As you have seen, this year, we had a very hot trip. The heat, which was in the high 80's all day and the 60's or 70's at night, really sapped our energy. I'm thinking of trying a week in WCPP to show the boys what BWCA used to look like when I first heard about it. Now, if only this crikety left knee will hold up...
