Entry Point 44 - Ram Lake

Ram Lake entry point allows overnight paddle only. This entry point is supported by Gunflint Ranger Station near the city of Grand Marais, MN. The distance from ranger station to entry point is 26 miles. Access is a 90-rod portage from the parking area. This area was affected by blowdown in 1999.

They are both hammock hot tents. The brown one is a OneTigris Cozshack. The green and grey one is a custom Smokehouse Outfitter 1.

That’s a lot of slush! Love the photos, they really show the work involved with winter travel and camping and staying alive even though you’re only a few miles from the real world.
