Thanks for the great report. We're going through that same EP in 24 days. And water levels are good??

Yes, the water levels were fine. Nina Moose River had a few beaver dams but nothing you can't paddle over or pull around real easily on your way out. I hope you make it up to Lac LaCroix and enjoy the blue berries over on Warrior Hill. There are some really good campsites on Lacroix to say the least.

Nice report! I really liked reading about the boy/man ceremony bit.

Just a suggestion...add in some paragraph breaks to make for easier reading. ;-)

Enjoyed your report very much. Sounds like a great time and decent weather too. I was in at the same time but to the east of you.

Someday I'd like to go up Warrior Hill. The last two years I took my teenage son. Now he'll be in the Army for 4 years so maybe this is where I'll go with him after he's out. I'm very curious to see the change in him the next time we go.

Thanks for posting and the pics were cool too.

Nice report - you didn't really leave cooked bacon out by the fire pit when you left to go fishing did you?

Bears have rather good noses.

Thank you for the reply's. I'm still savoring the visit to Warrior hill. The photo's taken up there and the experience from atop that Island will remain with me forever. I enjoyed Photo's first trip into the same area 24 days later. I read through their trip report. I envy them getting to Curtain and Rebecca and seeing the Cabin. We spoke with the Rangers heading to that cabin on our way out at one of the portages on Nina Moose River. My son is preparing to go into the Air Force this winter. We plan to make another BWCAW trip as well. Three years from now max.
