Entry Point 62 - Clearwater Lake

Clearwater Lake entry point allows overnight paddle or motor (10 HP max). This entry point is supported by Gunflint Ranger Station near the city of Grand Marais, MN. The distance from ranger station to entry point is 33 miles. Motors allowed on Clearwater Lake only. This area was affected by blowdown in 1999.

Wow! Very pretty series of photos and lakes. Looks like the weather was great. I may try that area next year. Never been there before, and I like going off the Gunflint.

Nice pics. What kind of dog is that? He/she looks like a good travel companion. Also, did you both have lean to's? Are they from CCS?

Looks like this year was the SSD (Solo Shinding-Dog). Nice looking dog. We have two dogs - one a huskie who would run like the blaszes. The other is an older (great dog) hound who would just be a food mooch. Did you only have a two-person, 1 hound, shindig this year?
